Mahtab Sabetara (they/them) is a Berlin-based musician, composer, and sound designer. With a background in classical music,  Their practice moves between composition, experimentation, and sound design, with an interest in atmosphere, texture, and the relationship between sound and space.

Their work ranges from experimental and ambient music to more electronic and rhythm-based forms, with influences from genres such as darkwave, synthwave, and industrial music. They often bring together acoustic and electronic elements.

Alongside their solo practice, Mahtab has worked in collaborations as a composer and sound designer across different mediums, including theatre, lecture performance, dance, podcast production, and research-performance.
